Every event that is created has some standard information that can be accessed from the top of the page.
The title, date, and time of the event appear at the top of the page, and the default values of the Auto Start and Auto Stop are applied. You can change the Auto Start and Auto Stop values using the corresponding dropdowns.
Event Analytics - Review your event analytics by clicking the pie diagram button. The analytics page will display the number of users who viewed different caption options and languages. This will be most useful after the event is complete.
Archive Event - Archive your event right away by clicking the "box" button. You should only archive an event after it is complete as it cannot be undone. Archiving an event while it is still active may disrupt your event. Once an event is archived you will be available to download event transcripts and captions. Your event will be moved to the archived folder.
Captions Pages & QR Code - There is a link to the Captions page as well as a button that allows you to download a QR code that links to the Captions page. The QR code can be downloaded as an SVG or PNG and is ideal for use at in-person events.
The “More” button provides additional types of captions pages:
- Captions Only
- IFrame
- Webex
- Audio dubs
- Roll Up Captions
You can review all the different types of caption pages here.
The top portion of the page also contains connection information for your event and will display different information depending on whether you set up a human or automated event.
Human - For events using human captioners you will be given the Host and Port number your captioner will need to connect to in order to deliver captions to our system.
Automated - For events using automated captions you will also see the RTMP url and key you will need to send your stream to in order for our system to ingest the audio and generate the captions.
Both types of events also contain a Status column that will show you when the stream or human captioner has connected to your event. The status will change from an orange “Not Connected” to a green “Connected”.
